It’s that time of year again: CES. Tens of thousands of tech fans surge upon Las Vegas for one of the tech’s biggest events to see what’s new, novel, and extraordinary. We’ll definitely be there for all the fun, and here are some of the things we’re most looking forward to.
1. Virtual Reality
Virtual reality is here. Consumers may have VR headsets in hand (or they will soon) but what’s still lagging behind is content. Video games have pioneered the space, but the content potential goes beyond that, impacting everything from fitness equipment to journalism. Content and virtual reality is where we expect will be a focus at this year’s CES.
We think televisions will continue to take center stage, with manufacturers trying to beat out each other for the spotlight with their latest inventions.
What can you expect? There will likely be your usual 4K TV unveilings along with displays pushing 8K and more. They’re not the most realistic purchases for most consumers, but it’s always fun to see where the technology is headed.
CES is becoming somewhat of a car show in recent years. 2017 is unlikely to disappoint on this front.
Faraday Future, an electric car maker, is following up an intriguing concept reveal at its first CES with the unveiling of its first car. According to Tech Radar, the company says the car “will be a premium electric vehicle that combines extreme technology, industry leading range, and holistic design.”
Color us intrigued. We can’t wait to see!
Drones made a splash at the last show, especially Parrot Disco and the first drone big enough to carry a person. We’ll likely see drones of all kinds at CES 2017. Look up!
