Five months after the September 11 attacks, the St. Louis Rams and New England Patriots met in New Orleans for Super Bowl XXXVI . Budweiser and Hill Holliday crafted this commercial—that was only aired once so as not to benefit financially from it—to acknowledge the tragic event. A copy of the video showed up on YouTube and to date, has earned more than 12.6 million views.
Budweiser also paid tribute on the 10th anniversary of the attacks. The same ad appears, this time including the under-construction One World Trade Center and the tagline, “We’ll Never Forget.”
