Almost a month ago, the Oreo Wonderfilled Campaign launched live in NYC where over 70 acapella groups dispersed amongst the city to share Oreo’s new anthem as well as hand out the fun filled cookie.
Using the same jingle created by the band Owl City, Oreo decided to change the lyrics of the anthem to develop the most adorable song for Father’s Day. Accompanying a video of cartoon graphics interacting with a child rolling about her bedroom; the song tells a story of a ‘wonderfilled’ imagination, depicting all sorts of fun activities she and her father could explore if they shared an Oreo before the habitual dreaded routine, avoiding bed time altogether to spend precious time as Father and Daughter.
The one-minute video gathered over 115,000 hits, while the 30-second clip has 350,000 views in just over 10 days. Both do justice by tugging at your heartstrings instantly with cute vocals, playful lyrics and animation while making you crave that sweet cookie, and reminding you of all the joys you have shared with your father.
Surprisingly, there was no other brand that utilized this world wide celebrated holiday to create a video worth watching this year.
Amongst the few non-branded Father’s Day Viral Videos, I found this one particularly sentimental. So of you’re really looking for a tear jerker, Familyshare.com put up a video only two days ago that has already been shared by numerous news sites and social networking outlets as being ‘the’ Father’s Day video of 2013.
